Isabelle Zab

Isabelle Zab is an object maker based in Halifax, Canada who creates work inspired by gender and cultural stereotypes. Building on past careers in broadcast television, SCUBA diving and shark research, she is currently in the final year of BFA at NSCAD University, majoring in sculpture. She was the recipient of the 2016 Raymond & William Peters Scholarship, the 2016 Thomas George Ethel Pearson McKenzie bursary and the David Lanier "Big Hat, No Cattle" sculpture scholarship in 2016 and again in 2017. Isabelle is as technical as she is artistic, supplementing her degree with a basic shielded metal arc welding certificate at the Nova Scotia Community College. She has recently returned from a semester at the University of Brighton, UK.
