"University of Florida College of the Arts donors and I had memorable experiences with music concerts, opera, theatre, and a gallery exhibition, not to mention some exceptional low country dishes. We enjoyed our time together, immensely. A bonus was making connections for several productions and performers to invite to our campus."
Lucinda Lavelli, Past President of ICFAD and Dean, College of the Arts, University of Florida
"Not only were we exposed to extraordinary visual and performing artists and their incredible art making, I also had time and space to bond with my guests on a level that was enhanced by the experience."
 - Raymond Tymas-Jones, Past President of ICFAD and  Associate Vice President for the Arts, University of Utah

Spoleto Festival USA, which began in Charleston in 1977, is one of the world's foremost performing arts festivals. It has a reputation for presenting both new work and time-honored classics in theatre, opera, dance, and other disciplines.

The Piccolo Spoleto Festival, a production of the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, complements the international focus of the "big" festival by presenting regional artists and family-friendly activities. Over the course of seventeen days the two festivals present nearly 1,000 performances, exhibitions, lectures and other events.

Charleston is one of the best built, handsomest, and most agreeable cities
that I have ever seen.
-Marquis de Lafayette

Dean Valerie B. Morris and the College of Charleston School of the Arts will host ICFAD's 2018 Spoleto Experience following Memorial Day. Participants will attend a variety of performances and events, including chamber music, theatrical and dance productions, and exhibitions. There also will be gatherings in venues that are not part of standard "tourist" itineraries. The entire program provides ICFAD members with the opportunity to renew and refresh themselves while spending valuable time with donors
