Diversity & Inclusion Committee

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee gathers information and data on current diversity issues, addresses concerns related to setting goals and the development of guiding principles that will enable Fine Arts Deans to create more inclusive environments in their institutions in a way that addresses inequities and systemic racism, and promotes the development and mentoring of higher education administrators (prospective Deans) of diverse backgrounds.

Areas of relevance that the Committee will be focusing on include but are not limited to:

  • Developing Conference programs and panel presentations on the challenges presented by diversity issues, and focusing on programs that have been and could be developed to address them, at the institutional level
  • Gathering information about what institutions are doing to address diversity and serving as a clearinghouse of information and resources for ICFAD members to reference
